Heritage Foundation’s USA Holiday Donation Drive for Pediatric Cancer Research
It’s the diagnosis that no family wants to hear. Pediatric Cancer. That is why at Heritage Foundation USA non-profit we strive for a healthier tomorrow everyday. Founded by leaders in philanthropy, Heritage Foundation USA supports important national pediatric cancer research and development so that hospitals and impacted families can continue to support children battling cancer.
According to research, Pediatric Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for people under the age of 19. It is estimated that over 15,000 children and young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the United States every year, and over 300,000 documented cases worldwide.
A large barrier for treating pediatric cancer is the fact that it cannot be treated the same as adult cancer. Because the medications can be toxic for developing bodies, children need specialized treatment plans. However, most federal funding at this time supports research for adult cancers, leaving much unknown about how the same diseases affect pediatric patients.
That’s where you come in.
By donating to the Heritage Foundation’s USA Pediatric Cancer Research Fund today, you can directly benefit pediatric cancer patients tomorrow.
Heritage Foundation’s USA donation goal this year is to raise $30,000. Funds raised will be allocated to specific research groups that we see making strides in the community.
Focusing our donation efforts will provide important funding for pediatric cancer research to explore many of the unknowns in this medical field:
- Common causes of Pediatric Cancer
- Long-term organ damage
- Specialized care
By focusing our efforts, funds raised have a bigger impact on the communities we are serving. For more information about how your dollar will be spent, call us at (224) 432-7403 or visit our website.
